These define stem length tolerances, bunch sizes, packaging formats, labelling requirements, and presentation standards. Our production and post-harvest processes are aligned to each client's specification for every export shipment.

Cold Chain

Shelf life is a product of the cold chain. We manage temperature from the moment of harvest through to departure at JKIA.

  1. 1

    Harvest

Cut at optimal maturity early morning to minimise field heat

  2. 2

    Pre-cooling

Produce pre-cooled within two hours of harvest

  3. 3

    Packing

Packed in temperature-controlled packhouse per client spec

  4. 4

    Transport

Refrigerated vehicles — farm to Nairobi, unbroken cold chain

  5. 5

    Airport

Air-freighted via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO)

  6. 6

    Arrival

Harvest and logistics timed to maximise remaining shelf life on arrival
